Most dog walking services are designed around the easy majority. Friendly dogs, predictable dogs, dogs that slot in without a second thought.
Lady’s K9 Academy was built for the rest.
Whether your dog needs total one to one focus, thrives in small carefully matched social groups, or is working on specific behaviours in the real world, we have a walk structure designed to genuinely serve them. Not just get them out of the house.
Every dog we walk is assessed before they join. Every walk is led by a trained, experienced handler. And every session is run with the same standard whether you’re watching or not.
Some dogs don't do well with others. Some need total calm. Some are working through something and group settings would undo that work before it has the chance to stick. Solo walks are completely one to one. Your dog is never paired with another dog on the walk or in transport. They get a dedicated handler, a varied route, and a session built entirely around what they need that day. This is the right option for dogs who are reactive, anxious, recently rehomed, working through training, or who simply do better without the distraction of other dogs around them. There is no compromise on the handler's attention, and no situation your dog wasn't screened for in advance.
For the right dog, a well-run group walk is genuinely enriching. The socialisation, the shared energy, the experience of navigating the world alongside dogs they know and trust. Done properly it builds confidence in a way that solo walks cannot replicate. The key phrase is the right dog. Every dog assessed for a group walk is screened for behavioural suitability before they join. Groups are kept small and deliberately balanced. We do not mix dogs that are not compatible, and we do not take dogs into a group setting that would be better served by something else. Group walks take place across varied locations, giving dogs real environmental exposure alongside the social element. The focus throughout is positive interaction, genuine enjoyment, and the kind of calm group dynamic that develops over time when a service is run properly.
Some dogs are not ready for standard walking services. Some are working through reactivity, recall, lead manners, or impulse control and need their walks to actively support that progress rather than undo it. Specialist and training walks are led by Joanna or a qualified trainer from the Lady's K9 team. These sessions are structured around your dog's specific needs and, where relevant, tied directly to any training plan already in place. The behaviours being worked on at home are reinforced out in the real world, in real environments, with the kind of consistent handling that makes the difference between progress that lasts and progress that only works in the living room. These sessions are suited to high drive dogs, reactive dogs, dogs with lead issues, dogs who need structure in outdoor environments, and dogs whose owners want more than exercise from their walking service.
Environmental walks are confidence-building sessions designed for dogs who find the world difficult. New sounds. Unfamiliar surfaces. Traffic, crowds, unpredictable stimuli. For dogs working through anxiety, recovery from trauma, or early stage socialisation, the environment itself is the training tool. These walks move at the dog's pace. There is no pressure, no pushing, and no false timeline. Progress is real because it is never rushed. The handler works alongside your dog as a guide, not a driver, and every session is set up to end on a positive note regardless of how far you went or what you encountered on the way.
Every new walking client begins with a short assessment call. We talk through your dog, their history, their needs, and which service is the right fit. We don’t take on every dog without knowing they’re right for what we offer, and that screening protects every dog already in our care as well as yours.
